Another comic is becoming a horror television show. Harrow County, the comic created by Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook this year, is heading to Syfy as a live-action television series.
Harrow County, which will be adapted for television by Becky Kirsch (Twelve Monkeys), follows a girl named Emmy as she finds herself linked to the deep woods surrounding her home that are filled with the dark supernatural. On her 18th birthday, she learns that she is connected to these creatures and to the land itself, which puts her at risk from the townspeople. In order to survive, Emmy must embrace her powers.
Syfy’s not exactly my favorite channel for horror television, but the comic has great reviews and the premise seems interesting, so we’ll have to see what happens.
