The Walking Dead fans, rejoice: Robert Kirkman is developing a new television series based on his dark Outcast comic series.

Protagonist Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), who as a child was possessed by a demon, grows up searching for answers as to why he was chosen for possession and how he has supernatural abilities. He is aided in his quest by Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister), an evangelist but also a drinker and gambler.

Obviously Kirkman can do no wrong as the TV series was picked up just one week after his comic’s first issue hit shelves.

Outcast went into production last November led by director Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest) and is set to debut sometime in 2016. View the trailer, which premiered at New York Comic-Con, now.
